Terri E Madden




	In 1985, Terri Madden graduated from Youngstown State University, Ohio with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, the same year her daughter graduated from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. Terri has taken watercolor classes and workshops from distinguished instructors. She began her career as a commissioned artist while still attending college. Her paintings can be found in private, corporate and hospital collections. Terri has earned signature member in the Ohio Watercolor Society and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society. Artist’s statement:

Terri works primarily in watercolor, occasionally in oil and acrylic. She likes to mix her watercolor pigments on paper when possible, which produces interesting patterns and luminosity. Many of her still life subjects are set up on the dinning room table or kitchen counter, depending on the low early morning sunlight. There is only a short period in spring and fall when the trees are bare and do not obscure the light. This light casts dramatic shadows and reflections.
